The Anaheim Ducks drafted Tomas Hertl with the ninth pick of the ECFHL Entry Draft. The big, talented two-way centre had three goals and two assists in six games for the Czech National Team at the 2012 U20 World Junior Championship. Anaheim General Manager Shawn Hammack hinted the club would have selected him even earlier. "We're very happy he fell to us," he said. "We had him in our top five. He's got a ton of upside." Tomas Hertl became the first player to don the team's new logo and jersey. "It's a great honour," Hertl quipped. "Let's be honest, the old look was nothing to write home about." The Ducks will continue attempting to upgrade their roster this off-season through trades and free agency. "We have a few holes we'd like to fill," said Hammack. "We'll see what the fates have in store for us." More as it develops...

Hahaha. My team as currently composed will not feature in many highlights, so it's just as well
