I am proud to be called upon to select and represent the Western Conference, in the upcoming Allstar game! For a new GM like myself to be appointed this job is an honour. I'd like to thank the previous Blues GM, for vacating his spot first and foremost. It's a thankless job naming an allstar team. But I'll try my best.
You the fellow GM's voted for the rosters top 6 players (3f, 2d, 1g) and the winners of that poll were as follows;
Center Sidney Crosby of the St. Louis Blues
Center Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks
Right Winger Corey Perry of the Anaheim Ducks
Defender Drew Doughty of the Los Angeles Kings
Defender Alex Pietrangelo of the St. Louis Blues
Goaltender Ryan Miller of the Dallas Stars
This left me with the right to name 9 forwards, 6 defenders, and two goaltenders. For a final lineup of 23 allstars. Here is a full list of all stars;
CENTER
Sidney Crosby (STL)
Patrick Kane (CHI)
Ryan Kesler (VAN)
John Tavares (LAK)
LEFT WING
Alex Ovechkin (CLB)
Evgeni Malkin (MIN)
Logan Couture (SJS)
Rob Schremp (DET)
RIGHT WING
Corey Perry (ANA)
James Neal (LAK)
Scottie Upshall (COL)
Jordan Eberle (EDM)
DEFENCE
Drew Doughty (LAK)
Alex Pietrangelo (STL)
Tyler Myers (LAK)
Keith Yandle (STL)
Duncan Keith (CHI)
PK Subban (ANA)
Jason Garrison (PHX)
Dan Hamhuis (MIN)
GOALIE
Ryan Miller (DAL)
Jonas Hiller (ANA)
Craig Anderson (CGY)
Here is what the lines will look like for the allstar game;
Alex Ovechkin - Sidney Crosby - Corey Perry
Evgeni Malkin - Patrick Kane - James Neal
Logan Couture - Ryan Kesler - Scottie Upshall
Rob Schremp - John Tavares - Jordan Eberle
Duncan Keith - Keith Yandle
Drew Doughty - Alex Pietrangelo
Tyler Myers - P.K. Subban
Ryan Miller
Jonas Hiller
Healthy Scratches but STILL Allstars - Jason Garrison, Dan Hamhuis, Craig Anderson
CONGRATS to everyone who made the squad!
Fun tidbits;
LAK lead the league with 4 allstars... STL, ANA both with 3 reps
4 former London Knights on the roster, two others from London. Not done on purpose. But Go Knights Go!
