Nick actually asked my opinion and to help him decide what to do regarding this trade.
I stated it was ok to pass as Simon was NYI GM originally, and he made his trades through that team. I stated that any trades NYI made under NYI was fair game as Simon joined as that team.
The reason I stated any trades with Buffalo should be denied is because Simon can not control two teams, therefore, technically, Buffalo never had a GM. It is not fair to have one GM handle two teams and make trades under the second team.

I was going to void this deal immediately, however, I didn't want people to think the deal put him over the cap and now he can just void it and back out of it. I spoke to PJ about it and he felt we should deal with the Buffalo stuff since that was the team that he took over.
I'll gladly void the deal if that's what the consensus is from the league.

haven't we only had 1 Buffalo GM since the start?
If we've had only one GM the whole time then none of the BUF or NYI trades should be put through
If the old BUF GM was recently replaced for Simon from the Isles then all of the trades made by each of those teams after Simon was hired should be disallowed.
In my opinion it doesn't matter what team he controlled first, as soon as you are in control of 2 teams every trade you make from that point on should be voided
That's my 2 cents

Yup. The guy was cheating. Doesnt matter what team he was controlling first. He was cheating and all the deals he made should be voided. For NYI or BUFF. The guy got fired for a reason

That makes little sense. If I was LA, and controlled them from Seasons 1-3, and in Season 4, I took over Anaheim, and say I made a trade with Ana and Tor, then all Season 1-3 trades with LA are denied?? Lol. Do you realize how long it would take to go back and deny every trade and then all trades that occured afterwards with the players traded by LA??
Buffalo GM previously was not NYI. Buf and NYI were separate people. Buffalo quit, and NYI apparently made up info to take over Buffalo and do trades with that team. So we addressed the issues at hand, and he is out of the league.
Looking at NYI's recent trades, I dont see how any would be considered as cheating or inappropriate behavior going on so why would they be scrutinized?

I can see both sides of the coin. Which ever is decided is fine by me.
