^^^^^ I agree. These guys we are signing are minor league guys who wont help much now, or possibly ever. Why are you going insane over 65-71OV players? They arent going to play on your top six. They arent that great. Yes some could progress, but Ill say at best, 5 of those players that were added on the unassigned list make it to a top 6 forward or top 4 defensive role. And thats being generous. It has nothing to do with how good the players are or how bad they are. Its about the principle. The way Nick has the rules set up for this scenario are terrible. Those guys should be on my team because HE NEVER CLARIFIED what he is saying now. Had he done so... I never would have given away six players for nothing. Literally... Nothing. And im not making this out to be a witch hunt.never did i say youre treating me unfairly compared to others like our other dissagreement. Im saying that the rules should have been more clear... And because they werent these guys should be mine. If anyone else traded away half of their farn team to make room.for these guys theyd be pissed too. Whatever. |

If you had been outbid for the players, it would not have changed the fact that you traded away six players for literally nothing. Second, I've always processed waiver claims and FA offers before I sim and trades after the sim. I do this because, sometimes, teams will send me FA offers or waiver claims if they need a player to fill out a roster. I've done it all three seasons of our league. It's posted very clearly in our rules that trades aren't processed until after a sim. If you want to say that it should have been more clear, I'll accept that criticism and make sure that It's more clear in the future. And as for the witchhunt comment, you said you were being screwed royally and that you have a hard time believing it wouldn't be the same way if someone else had sent in offers later. |

Granted, I asked for more (I offered a bunch of guys for a prospect/late pick), but I also would have been outbid for the people I was interested in. I can honestly say had I been able to pull the trigger, not getting Aaron Ness wouldn't have me this pissed off. It happens, it's part of the game. But if the players mean that much to you, I'll happily trade you (or anyone else) 5-6 guys from my farm for a random prospect, late pick, or even $69. Nick hasn't changed his transaction or sim schedule ever. If you look through the waiver claims on the boards he notes that claims were declined when submitted too late. There's nothing new about this. |

Wow. This is pretty unreal.
1) Nicks waiver claim and free agent claim has always been the same. He sets a deadline, if you send something in AFTER that time, EVEN IF HE DIDNT SIM, it is rejected. Been going on for two seasons. Nothing has changed.
2) Yes Alex. We are out to get you and only you. We talk everyday about how to screw you out of 69OV rated players. Lol. I hope you all sense the sarcasm.
3) If anyone has any issues, instead of berating the commissioner or myself in the forum, how about addressing us by email in private? Ill tell you what, if this was my league Alex, you'd be gone for the way you address things. Being honest and open is one thing, being a complete asshole and disrespectful is another. Blasting Nick on the boards isnt going to make him say "Oh wow Alex, thanks for ripping me constantly, let me please give you the players you were screwed out of." Just a thought.
I'm not posting again in this thread so now the response will come and the person will be a smart ass
