Wow. This is pretty unreal. 1) Nicks waiver claim and free agent claim has always been the same. He sets a deadline, if you send something in AFTER that time, EVEN IF HE DIDNT SIM, it is rejected. Been going on for two seasons. Nothing has changed. 2) Yes Alex. We are out to get you and only you. We talk everyday about how to screw you out of 69OV rated players. Lol. I hope you all sense the sarcasm. 3) If anyone has any issues, instead of berating the commissioner or myself in the forum, how about addressing us by email in private? Ill tell you what, if this was my league Alex, you'd be gone for the way you address things. Being honest and open is one thing, being a complete asshole and disrespectful is another. Blasting Nick on the boards isnt going to make him say "Oh wow Alex, thanks for ripping me constantly, let me please give you the players you were screwed out of." Just a thought. I'm not posting again in this thread so now the response will come and the person will be a smart ass Never once have i seen a set deadline for free agents. Yes... For.waivers everyone knows you have 24 hours to send a claim. But thats never been the rule for free agents so lumping the two as one doesnt work and nick even admitted as much saying that the rules were not clear Like i said before... Never once had i made this out to be a witch hunt. You and nick probably took it as one but that wasnt ny intention. When i said he would have processed a trade at 9am the day of the sim... I didnt mean he would do it because it wasnt me. It was a response to him saying he inputted the free agent deals at 4pm the day before the sim. Those deals were never official because they werent on the forums...so if someone with roster space made an offer the next morning... He woulda honored it. And as far as booting me from the league.....thats probably why you arent a comissioner. A good commish needs to have the balls to take some criticism. Especially when it is deserved. I took plenty of it when i ran my leagues and Nick hasbtaken plenty in the duration of this league. I guess youre too much of a child and would rather just hide from issuea than face and resolve them. Like i said before. Whatever. I still think im getting royally screwed... But i know im not the boss so what i think doesnt really matter and thats the end of it. |

This will be my last post and then I'll let this issue die.
You keep saying "royally screwed". The five offers of yours that were rejected, one you ended up with anyway and you signed Corey Potter the next day. You lost out on 3 fringe minor leaguers. I can understand being mad that the rules weren't clear, I've already stated that, however, to keep saying "you were screwed" is embarrassing and sounds like whining at this point. It's not like you were over the cap, made a trade a minute before I simmed and I said Whelp, since so and so didn't confirm, Bye Bye Malkin.
I said it once and I'll say it again. You trade six players away for nothing with the INTENT to sign those guys. The trade is only relevant to the discussion if you somehow KNEW you were going to be the highest bidder on those guys. If any of the other 29 teams in the league would have outbid you on those 5 guys, you still would have traded six guys away from nothing.
Lastly, I've stated in the past, I've never had a problem with criticism. What I don't like are the big episodes that go on when there's a problem that needs to be adressed. Something gets posted and then a major back and forth starts. I know it's not all you and I'm not saying that at all. It's just a general statement.

I would like to state for the last comment, the first offseason I lost Daniel Sedin and I was not happy. Nick can vouch that I was pretty pissed off. I simply emailed Nick and we discussed privately. Granted I am making the issue public now, but the point is, I talked to Nick in private and though I didnt end up getting D Sedin back, he at least understood where I was coming from. I think Nick makes a great point that any issues should be made private. If its a topic for discussion of a rule change, I see the point of having everyones input. We had plenty of those topics. When its the topic of an issue, just email Nick.

It doesnt matter how good or how crappy the players are. Im big on doing whats right. Its the principle of the matter. I am very well aware that i wasnt guaranteed anyone. But the fact that i DID outbid eveeyone and wasnt awared those guys for no real reason is what makes me upset |

It would have been nice to have been emailed when new players are being made available. I don't have time to read through the mass amount of bitching on the forums and have pretty much disregarded them except to check for PM's.
Maybe next time we can make sure that everyone is fully aware before adding new players, that's all I ask.
