I put this up to a vote at the end of the season and I got yes' from almost everyone except Dallas.
We have a couple of options here:
A) We can switch the draft back to the 1-3 rounds for season 4 and 4-6 rounds for season 5
OR
B) We keep it as is as go from there.
The reason we're using evens is because this is the Yr 4 draft. Evens in even years, odds in odds. we go back to the old draft system for this draft and the next OR we move ahead with the way it currently is.

what are u talking about Colorado? unless i am wrong wouldnt all my picks be more valueable if we were using rounds 1-3 from the draft? and making a vote at the end of the season change doesnt sit well with me at all

Of course it would make this draft a lot stronger! but it is worthing pointing out even with it being spilt this draft is much better than last seasons - that just outright sucked! And it would be crap to have a poor draft in season 4 aswell! can't keep having one strong draft and one weak draft!

can't go back to the old way, have a strong draft year than a weak draft year.

THE BIG PROBLEM HERE IS THE TEAMS LIKE DALLAS ACQUIRING ALL THESE EXTRA PICKS FOR HIS REBUILD.CHANGING THE DRAFT RULES WITHOUT NOTICE FOR TEAMS LIKE THAT IS A KICK IN THE NUTS.ME MYSELF AM NOT COMPLAINING AS I ONLY HAVE ONE 1ST.IF I HAD 7 1STS ID BE PISSED IF THE DRAFT WAS CHANGED .IF YOUR GOING TO CHANGE IT TEAMS LIKE DALLAS SHOULD BE COMPENSATED SOME WAY,BY BOOSTING HIS DRAFTPICK GRADES OR SOMETHING ELSE ITS ONLY FAIR,IM SURE ALOT OF HIS TRADES THAT WERE MADE WOULD OF NEVER HAPPENED IF HE KNOWN OF THE ODD/EVEN THING.

I totally agree with what both Edmonton and Dallas are saying but at the same time I do not want to have a strong draft followed by a weak draft forever more!
Could we maybe say something like for every 5 picks a team has within the first two rounds they can improve a player by 0.5 HF rating?
SO for instance Dallas has 9 picks within the 1st and 2nd round... so he could improve two players by 0.5 HF rating!
This idea would only currently affect the following teams: Calgary (7 picks), Dallas (9 picks), Minnesota (4 picks) and Phoenix (11 picks)! So basically:-
Calgary can improve one player by 0.5HF rating Dallas can improve two players by 0.5HF rating Minnesota can improve one player by 0.5HF rating Phoenix can improbe two players by 0.5HF rating Everyone else stays normal!
I think that would be a perfect way of compensating teams who have collected draft picks for this year! And to be honest those four teams are prob the ones who will be hit the most due to the rule changes! This way we can change the rules and hopefully keep everyone happy!

Could even do everyone 3 picks within the 1st and 2nd round, which would result in:-
Boston can improve one player by 0.5HF rating Calgary can improve two players by 0.5HF rating Dallas can improve Three players by 0.5HF rating Minnesota can improve one player by 0.5HF rating Phoenix can improve Three players by 0.5HF rating Edmonton can improve One player by 0.5HF rating Everyone else stays normal!

The rules state that the EVEN DRAFTED PLAYERS will be in this draft, NOT THE EVEN ROUNDS. Fucking learn to read.
